Modeling projection of the number of charging stations and battery electric vehicles until 2030 in Jakarta Indonesia in order to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions

Abstract: The Government of Indonesia (GoI) has committed to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by encouraging the acceleration program for battery-based electric motorized vehicles for road transportation through a Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2019. To accelerate the number of Battery Electric Vehicles (EV), supporting infrastructure is needed such as charging stations. Because with the availability of a sufficient number of charging stations, it will be one of the attractions for people to buy Battery Elect… Show more

“…1267 (2023) 012036 IOP Publishing doi:10.1088/1755-1315/1267/1/012036 2 GoI is committed to reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by accelerating the conversion of battery-based electric motorized vehicles for road transportation through Presidential Regulation 55 of 2019. Accelerating the number of electric vehicles (EVs) requires supporting infrastructure such as charging stations and swap batteries stall because the availability of adequate charging stations will be one of the considerations for people to buy electric vehicles [7]. In accelerating the EVs program, the provision of adequate and easy-to-reach charging stations infrastructure believed as a key success factor [8,9].…”
