Modeling Energy-Efficient Consumption at Industrial Enterprises

Abstract: A possibility to reduce costs incurred in both product manufacturing and energy consumption constitutes energy-efficient consumption at industrial enterprises. Manufacturers operating in various economic sectors adopt similar conceptual models of energy consumption, which allows developing a universal solution for modeling such processes. The central problem of modeling lies in finding an adequate objective function based on a sufficient set of parameters and characteristics of the efficiency of an enterprise'… Show more

“…Renewables-based power generating systems in locations with a significant amount of sunlight (California [USA], Spain) or the active movement of air masses (Norway's shores) can reduce an average household's energy consumption from the central electrical power grid by 20-25%; in some cases, this share reaches up to 80-90% (Todorov et al, 2019;Stave et al, 2021). The types of energy sources used in different countries vary significantly.…”

“…In the article "Modeling Energy-Efficient Consumption at Industrial Enterprises" energy efficiency issues are explored at the microlevel, and the authors point out on similar conceptual models of energy consumption used by manufacturers in different fields of the economy, that allows developing a universal solution for modeling these processes. The main problem of modeling is to find an adequate target function based on several parameters of energy consumption and energy efficiency (Todorov et al, 2019).…”

“…The ensured operational efficieny in power supply systems together with RES is one of the main objectives. At the same time, keep in mind that production enterprises face the need in the ensured uninterrupted power supply to their production processes (Todorov et al, 2019). Adaptive RES management meets such requirements the most with some functions decentralized.…”
