Modeling cross‐border supply chain collaboration: the case of the Belt and Road Initiative

Abstract: The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has resulted in international, cross‐border supply chains returning to a new prominence. The BRI presents opportunities for cross‐border supply chain collaboration (SCC) research. MCDM methods have been applied to a variety of problems in various areas including corporate sustainability (Chowdhury and Paul, 2020), pipe material selection in the sugar industry (Anojkumar et al, 2014), critical factors of digital supply chain (Khan et al, 2021), and cross-border supply chain collaboration (Cui et al, 2020), among others. The prioritizing or ranking of the risks and solution strategies involved in this paper are also considered as MCDM problems, so they require the support of a suitable MCDM method.…”

“…They provided a useful reference for the development and transformation of China's manufacturing industry. Cui et al (2023) developed a cross-border supply chain cooperation model to study cross-border supply chain cooperation under the Belt and Road (B&R) Initiative. The research results provided an in-depth understanding of this model and the B&R Initiative, and give an important reference for promoting cross-border supply chain cooperation and implementing the B&R Initiative.…”
