“…To assess the operation of transport system in case of changing certain parameters, simulation methods are usually used. Analysis of the possibilities and purpose of existing software for transport modeling has showed that to solve the problem of forecasting traffic loads on urban areas, it is better to use a specialized package of macrosimulation PTV VISUM [9,11].…”

“…2 shows a map of the city with the locations of colleges and institutions of higher education. The process of Naberezhnye Chelny transport model development is described in our early researches [11][12][13]. The most loaded part of the city's SRN is the central avenue -Naberezhnochelninsky, which connects the old and the new parts of the city, containing 5 educational institutions.…”

Intelligent well-educated Smart People are the key element of Smart City development. Different technologies are implemented to develop the residents’ intellectual added value, including Smart Education. The introduction of progressive teaching methods can have a synergistic effect, increasing the quality of processes in other systems of Smart Cities. Since the second most common type of correspondence is the trip to education, the hypothesis of a possibility to decrease transport loads on the city roads caused by the widespread introduction of progressive methods of ELearning and Blended Learning was suggested. The proposed hypothesis was tested and confirmed by the results of simulation.

“…One of the directions in the Smart City creation should be implementation of smart transport systems that corresponds to Millennium Development Goals, to the concept of sustainable development and to transition to a green economy [4]. Since transport is one of the main sources of air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, consumption of non-renewable resources, household inconveniences caused by the proximity to a highway and noise [3], there is an increase in the number of supporters of the transition to "green" transport, initiating development of the concepts and policy documents on the sustainable development of urban transport systems [6,7].…”

Pedestrians and cyclists are the most vulnerable road users. One of the ways to increase their safety is the safest route selection. Nowadays, there are a lot of navigation systems and route planners. However, these routes are not assessed from the viewpoint of their safety. The article describes one of the possible system alternatives to assess the safety of route for different types of road users. The developed system is based on the multifactorial analysis of information. Correction factors allow considering special features of each type of road users. The developed algorithm is implemented as an application.
“…Innovation in transportation today is a very relevant topic [5][6][7][8][9][10]. More than ever before, we understand that transportation has a key influence on how societies form and develop over time.…”
The transport system is one of the fundamental intelligent systems in the Smart City, and one of the main directions to ensure sustainability and safety of the city transport system is the concept of smart vehicles. Herewith, all processes at all stages of the life cycle should be intellectualized. Since the production stage of the life cycle is one of the most important, the introduction of smart technologies (Industry 4.0) in automotive industry will allow not only to optimize the processes and improve product quality but also to establish favorable conditions for the subsequent intellectualization of the automotive service. The benefits of using smart transport in all fields of activities as well as intellectualization of the decision-making process by the example of the automotive industry enterprises are presented in this chapter.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
