Model predictions for azimuthal spin asymmetries for HERMES and COMPASS kinematics

Abstract: We have presented the results for the single and double spin asymmetries in semi-inclusive deep inelastic scatterings for proton in a light front quark-diquark model. The asymmetries generated by the T-even TMDs are discussed here. The model predictions are found to agree with the available data. We also present our model predictions for the Collins asymmetry for the future electron-ion collider experiments.

“…In this model, both the scalar and the axial vector diquarks are considered and the light-front wave functions (LFWFs) are constructed from the two particle effective wave functions obtained in soft-wall Anti-de Sitter (AdS)/QCD. So far, this model has been successfully employed to describe many interesting properties of the nucleon e.g., electromagnetic form factor, PDFs, GPDs, TMDs, Wigner distributions at zero-skewness, spin asymmetries, etc., [23,[44][45][46][47][48][49]. We obtain the GTMDs at nonzero skewness for unpolarized as well as longitudinally and transversely polarized nucleons.…”

“…From the theoretical aspect, intensive studies on the quark Sivers function were performed using the QCD-inspired models, such as the spectator model [6,8,36], the light-cone quark model [37,38], the light-front quark-diquark model [39,40], the non-relativistic constituent quark model [41], the MIT bag model [42,43], and the Holographic QCD [44]. The sea quark Sivers function has been estimated from the light-cone wave function in Refs.…”
