Hoaxes are a perilous byproduct of huge technology advancements, particularly the rise of social media. Using Twitter as an example, it is one of the most popular social media platforms for information sharing, communication, and entertainment. As a consequence, Twitter users may readily propagate fake or hoax information. The aim of this study is to find public opinion about hoaxes derived from Twitter user conversations around COVID-19. This study makes use of Twitter data obtained from Drone Emprit Academic. This study examined all processed tweets and surveyed public opinion on "Hoaks" (including mentions, retweets, and replies). The DEA engine analyzes the word frequency and mood of Twitter users to determine if a predominant emotion is good, negative, or neutral. According to the study results, netizens remarked on the COVID-19, alleging that the appearance of the Delta type variation was caused by the vaccination, not the virus. They do not regularly check facts owing to boredom, laziness, and reliance on just one source of information verification. Furthermore, only information that corresponds to their interests and needs will be approved. Thus, via discourse about Hoax, social media allows the formation of a platform for mutual understanding, sharing, and dynamically debating the meaning of demonstrations. This research provides a contribution to the disclosure of information about public opinion towards a discourse discussed on Twitter with the help of a DEA engine.

Along with development of communication technology, there are several consequences, both positive and negative connotation, for use influences of communication media technology. The development of social media raises the phenomenon of hoaxes increasingly widespread, recent studies on hoaxes explain that social media and internet have changed the way hoaxes are spread. This is due to speed of information dissemination and society connectivity. This study has a purpose that digital literacy education by utilizing social media is important because today's public uses social media a lot. This study uses descriptive content analysis with data collection techniques such as documentation, literature study, interviews, FGD, and observation. Research object is visualization of West Java Saber Hoax (JSH) messages throughout 2020. The result of the study shows that building a media platform which purpose to build digital literacy levels must pay attention to content in accordance with applicable components. Media involvement will continue until media platform is a favorite or followed by a large audience. Instagram, as social media which uses JSH can be measured through number of followers, likers, comments, and increased insight from netizens.

This study aims to describe linguistic features that mean gender bias about Javenese women in Ulama Nyi Atikah’s story about two female characters named Nyi Kasanah and Siti Dara Murtasiyah. The data analyzed in this study are linguistic features in the form of word, phrases, and clauses collected from the text of Ulama Nyi Atikah’s story in edited book Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongraga volume II. The analysis is done by qualitative descriptive method using three steps of data analysis from Miles, Huberman, and Saldana Johny, namely data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The theory used in this study is Halliday’s metafunctional theory, which is textual, ideational, and interpersonal metafunctional. In this study, it was found that lexical use means gender bias refers to polygamous practices, male power, and identical female traits in the text. Then, it was found that the material process that dominates the construction of clauses means gender bias and dominance modulation of inclination means gender bias which refers to the consequences that women receive if disobedient to the husband. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fitur-fitur linguistik bermakna bias gender mengenai perempuan Jawa dalam cerita Ulama Nyi Atikah tentang dua tokoh perempuan bernama Nyi Kasanah dan Siti Dara Murtasiyah. Data yang dianalisis dalam penelitian ini merupakan fitur-fitur linguistik berupa kata, frasa, dan klausa yang dikumpulkan dari teks cerita Ulama Nyi Atikah dalam buku suntingan Serat Centhini Tambangraras Amongranga jilid II. Analisis dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan tiga langkah analisis data dari Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana Johny, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori metafungsional Halliday, yaitu metafungsi tekstual, ideasional, dan interpersonal. Dalam penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa penggunaan leksikal bermakna bias gender mengacu pada adanya praktik poligami, kuasa laki-laki, dan sifat identik perempuan di dalam teks. Kemudian, ditemukan proses material yang mendominasi konstruksi klausa bermakna bias gender dan dominasi modulasi inklinasi bermakna bias gender yang mengacu pada konsekuensi yang diterima perempuan jika durhaka kepada suami.
