“…Only one of 66 monozygotic twin pairs were concordant for brain tumors and no one of 112 dizygotic twin pairs were concordant, supporting that inherited genetic factors only constitute a minor role in the development of CNS tumors. Other possible risk factors, like the use of mobile phones have been investigated, however, there is currently no consensus regarding the results [4,5]. Therefore, CNS tumors, in general, are considered as a condition without known causes or screening possibilities.…”

“…Carcinogenic effect on the brain and nervous tissue of low-frequency (50-60 Hz) electromagnetic field, which is emitted by power lines and household appliances microwave and radio frequency (0.5-100 MHz), is the subject of many studies (Benson et al, 2013;Kesari et al, 2013). The mechanism of the possible carcinogenic effects of electromagnetic fields is unclear.…”

“…In England BENSON VS. conducted a populationbased study in 2005-2012 to evaluate 791.710 cases of brain cancer, and its relationship with the use of mobile phone systems, concluding that there is no link between the use of mobile telephony systems and types of cancer: glioma and meningioma, while there is a strong connection with cases of acoustic neuroma, depending on the time of exposure, that is, the longer exposition to these systems, the acoustic neuroma risk increases [14].…”
