Augmented Reality (AR) technology visualizes virtual objects in the real environment, offering users an immersive experience that enhances their spatial perception of virtual objects. This makes AR an important tool for visualization in engineering, education, and gaming. The Unmanned Aerial Vehicles’ (UAVs’) low-altitude public air route (Skyroad) is a forward-looking virtual transportation infrastructure flying over complex terrain, presenting challenges for user perception due to its invisibility. In order to achieve a 3D and intuitive visualization of Skyroad, this paper proposes an AR visualization framework based on a physical sandbox. The framework consists of four processes: reconstructing and 3D-printing a sandbox model, producing virtual scenes for UAVs Skyroad, implementing a markerless registration and tracking method, and displaying Skyroad scenes on the sandbox with GPU-based occlusion handling. With the support of the framework, a mobile application called SkyroadAR was developed. System performance tests and user questionnaires were conducted on SkyroadAR; the results showed that our approachs to tracking and occlusion provided an efficient and stable AR effect for Skyroad. This intuitive visualization is recognized by both professional and non-professional users.

Topeng Malangan is one of Malang's original culture that needs to be preserved. However, the survey results show that 65.9% of respondents are not familiar with Topeng Malangan. Currently Topeng Malangan is less popular among the people of Malang city, because Topeng Malangan art is rarely performed and only a little introduced through dance learning in elementary schools. There are 76 Topeng Malangan figures with six famous figures, namely Raden Gunung Sari, Dewi Sekartaji, Dewi Ragil Kuning, Bapang, Panji Asmoro Bangun, and Klono Sewandono. This research produces face recognition software through Augmented Reality using a marker tracking model. Two-dimensional marker as the printed or the cellphone screen displayed figures, will be performed as a three-dimensional image of the mask face. In addition to three-dimensional images, figuring character information, text and sound are also showed according to the characteristics of the Topeng Malangan from Desa Kemantren Kecamatan Jabung, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur. The blackbox testing of the application shows that all application parameters are functioning properly. This application can be used as a learning medium in the form of educational games about Topeng Malangan figures and culture

This research aims to create Smart Health Pregnancy software that educates pregnant women on fetal development. During pregnancy, a pregnant woman’s health highly influences the pregnancy success rate. Thus, knowing the pregnancy process is necessary for pregnant women. Although resources concerning fetal development such as textbooks, general articles, and websites can be accessed easily, these resources are often too condensed with text, have a less interactive display, and provide inadequate information. Therefore, Smart Health Pregnancy software would facilitate pregnant women in understanding fetal development, displayed in an interactive way using Augmented Reality (AR) technology. The AR method utilized is a marker-based tracking method where the user can use an Android smartphone camera to receive a marker that can display a virtual object in the real world. The virtual object is presented in the form of the embryo or fetus from 1 to 38 weeks in 3D. Furthermore, important information regarding fetal development and the health of pregnant women is also shown. From the results, 95% of the respondents stated that this software is user-friendly and very informative. It shows that the software has performed well and can educate pregnant women.
