CP-violating phase in a two Higgs triplet scenario: Some phenomenological implications

Abstract: We consider a scenario where, along with the usual Higgs doublet, two scalar triplets are present. The extension of the triplet sector is required for the Type II mechanism for the generation of neutrino masses, if this mechanism has to generate a neutrino mass matrix with two-zero texture. One CP-violating phase has been retained in the scalar potential of the model, and all parameters have been chosen consistently with the observed neutrino mass and mixing patterns. We find that a large phase ( 60 • ) splits… Show more

“…Another decay channel that opens up in this scenario is Δ AEAE 1 → Δ AEAE 2 h, h being the SM-like Higgs. As has been shown in [45], this mode prevails especially in the presence of at least one CP-violating phase.…”

“…Recent studies of two dimensional (2D) paramagnetic particles under one dimensional (1D) magnetic ratchets observed relation between overall dynamics and local particle coordination numbers [13].In colloidal suspensions, ratchet-like directed motion of particles have been achieved using suitable laser potentials [14,15]. Confinement and laser trapping in colloids, on the other hand, is known to give rise to interesting mechanical properties and phase transitions [27][28][29][30][31][32]. Coupling 2D interacting colloids to a 1D time-independent spatially periodic potential with periodicity commensurate with the mean particle separation, leads to the phenomena of laser induced freezing (LIF) and re-entrant melting with increase in the potential strength.…”

“…However, a single triplet fails to make Type II seesaw scenarios consistent with some widely used zero texture models, in particular, those with two-zero texture. On the contrary, such texture can be reproduced if one has two triplets instead of one, thereby suggesting a scenario whose phenomenological implications have been explored in recent works [55] and the collider signatures of this model have been studied in [56]. With this in mind, we analyze below models both with one and two scalar triplet in the light of the recent Higgs data and the contribution of charged scalar loops (including those from doubly charged scalars) embodied in dimension-6 operators.…”
