σmeson inJ/ψdecays

Abstract: Recently BES at BEPC found evidence for the existence of the σ meson in the process of J/Ψ → σω → ππω. In this paper we firstly discuss the relevant coupling g σππ and show that the linear σ model gives rise to a reasonable description of the σ decay into π's, then we calculate the coupling constant g th J/Ψσω using the perturbative QCD technique and the light-cone wave functions of the σ and ω mesons. The results show that the theoretical value of g th J/Ψσω is within the range of experimental value g J/Ψσω .

“…The ratio of the high and low temperature slopes in the plot of ρ mag (T) in the ranges 9-20 and 200-300 K, respectively, is close to the value 0.029 expected for the doublet ground state. There is a sharp fall in ρ at 8.2 K as the T is lowered, which has been established as the onset of antiferromagnetic ordering [6,7]. As the pressure is increased, we note that the overall features are qualitatively the same up to 6 GPa.…”

“…that shows non-Fermi liquid behaviour at low temperature and shows superconductivity under pressure. Therefore, it is tempting to make clear how these anomalous things will be in the cases that blocs of Ce-Pd-Si slabs related to the CePd 2 Si 2 [5,7] seperated, and closer again by using the external pressure. In this study, we have carried out the electrical resistances measurement of Ce 2 Pd 3 Si 5 under pressure up to 8 GPa in the temperature interval 2.5-300 K.…”
