Abstract: The three major MAP-kinase (MAPK) pathways, ERK1/2, p38 and JNK/SAPK, are upstream regulators of the nuclear “hormone” receptor superfamily (NHRSF), with a prime example given by the estrogen receptor in breast cancer.
