Abstract: O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar o Projeto de Extensão "Cátedra Sérgio Vieira de Mello: Núcleo de Apoio a Imigrantes e Refugiados” da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, com vistas a contribuir com o debate sobre a extensão, nesse momento histórico de reconstituição dos laços entre ensino, pesquisa e extensão. “…Extension that is liberating is not made through the messianic action of "the righteous," considering themselves illuminated beings and representatives of the intelligentsia.
