Microwave spectra of molecules of astrophysical interest XII. Hydroxyl radical

Abstract: The available data on the microwave spectrum of the hydroxyl radical are critically reviewed for information applicable to radio astronomy. Molecular properties such as the rotational constants, spinorbit, spin-spin and hyperfine coupling cons lams and cemrifugal distonion parameters employed in or derived from the analysis are tabulated. All the observed and predicted transitions of 060H, ~,OD, and DOH below 300 GHz and lower state energy levels less than 4000 cm-I are presented for the ground vibrational sta… Show more

“…The interested reader is therefore referred to the literature [18][19][20][21][22], However, the effect of the total inversion operator E* (inversion of all coordinates) on the basis states is given by (28) with s" -0 for all but X~ states where s" = 1.…”

“…These are the hyperfine parameters (a,b,c, and d), the A-doubling parameters (p and q), and the spin-orbit interaction constant A. Numerical values for these parameters have been obtained from Beaudet and Poynter [28] for the electronic ground state (X2n)ofOH.…”
