“…The relative fractions of the hai, hci and hc þ ai Burgers vectors are 62%, 0-4% and 32-36%, respectively. The abundance of hai-type dislocations besides the hci-and hc þ ai-type dislocations has been also found for other bulk hexagonal nanomaterials, e.g sintered WC [99] and SPD processed Mg alloys [98]. The relatively high fraction of hc þ ai dislocations in Ti processed by ECAP can be attributed to the high temperature of deformation.…”

“…on commercially pure Ti [73,82,88,[94][95][96][97] and AZ91 Mg alloy [98]. Generally, the SPD processes on hexagonal materials are carried out at elevated temperatures because the rigidity of the specimens at room temperature.…”

“…During high temperature ECAP Al 12 Mg 17 precipitates are formed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) investigations reveal that these precipitates have rod-like shape which breaks into smaller parts owing to severe shear deformation during ECAP [15]. X-ray line profile analysis of the reflections of the Mg alloys shows that ECAP results in the reduction of the crystallite size from 253±38 nm to 97±10 nm and the increase of the dislocation density from 0.4±0.1⋅10 14 m -2 to 2±0.2⋅10 14 m -2 .…”

“…Some researchers have successfully applied hot deformation processes, such as hot compression [23], extrusion [24], equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) [25], and hot rolling [26], to as-cast AZ91 alloy and improved its mechanical properties to broaden the application potential for this alloy. However, studies on the hot deformation behavior of AZ91 alloy are relatively scarce [27,28]; and very limited data are available on this alloy's workability characteristics.…”
