Abstract: SYNOPSISThe micellar effect on the kinetics of ceric ion-initiated polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) in the presence of glucose was studied in the temperature range 40-50°C. The effects of concentration of the metal ion, monomer, sulfuric acid, substrate (glucose), emulsifier, some inorganic salt, and organic solvent on the rate of polymerization (R,) were also investigated.
