Sustainability concepts are adopted via new technologies to achieve the highest gains without compromising the projects' objectives. One of these technologies is radio frequency identification (RFID). This research investigated the influence of various drivers and benefits of RFID implementation on the achievement of sustainable construction projects. A close‐ended questionnaire detailing the necessary variables were administered to relevant construction professionals in the study area. Results of exploratory factor analysis of the data revealed that the drivers of RFID could be grouped into three primary constructs: technology, industry, and culture. However, the benefits of implementing RFID have two primary constructs: resources and environment. This study employed a partial least square structural equation modeling to further evaluate the connections among drivers and the application of RFID in the building industry. Results indicated that implementing RFID in the building industry will aid the sustainability of construction projects. The findings of this study will assist policy makers concerned with the performance and sustainability of construction projects through the adoption of available technologies including RFID.

Motion information collection technology is a means for measuring, tracking, and recording the movement traces of individuals in space. This method can complete the data collection of volleyball players and the ball trajectory and realize quantification and statistical analysis of the data to present a virtual model of the player’s movement trajectory. It is inseparable from the acquisition of information to complete the information collection. Therefore, this work uses the radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in the Internet of Things technology to build an information collection system and apply it to volleyball sports. The existing positioning system based on RFID has problems such as significant positioning errors and high system costs due to the arrangement of a large number of readers. This paper first introduces the theoretical knowledge of the RFID system, wireless network positioning technology, and RFID system positioning method in the Internet of Things. Besides, the theoretical framework of the volleyball movement information acquisition system is presented based on the Received Signal Strength Indication of the RFID system and Location Identification based on the Dynamic Active RFID Calibration (LANDMARC) algorithm. Then, the LANDMARC algorithm is improved through the Centroid Positioning algorithm, forming the CP-LANDMARC algorithm. Finally, a simulation experiment is conducted to test the system effect. The results demonstrate that: (1) the average error of the basic LANDMARC algorithm is 0.55 meters, and the average error of the CP-LANDMARC algorithm is 0.46 meters; (2) the average error of the CP-LANDMARC algorithm is 0.43 meters when the reference label is set to be evenly distributed in a square, and the average error of the optimized algorithm is 0.38 m when the reference label is set as an equilateral triangle; and (3) when the number of reference labels increases to 110, the average error decreases from 0.38 to 0.29. This paper aims to improve the quality of volleyball teaching and training by designing a relevant sports information acquisition system.

This work studies the electromagnetic field of a radiofrequency (RF) antenna on 7-inch liquid crystal display (LCD) and presents a new approach where the RF antenna is designed on LCD. This approach takes the magnetic field effect of LCD as an input parameter when building and simulating antenna models using the software Ansoft HFSS. After obtaining the PCB of the antenna, place the antenna on LCD, so that the antenna and LCD overlap up and down and measure the equivalent physical parameters as a whole. Last, use the vector network analyzer and Smith circle graph to tune the antenna system for completing the impedance matching of the whole system. This method breaks through the limitation that the card swiping area and the display area cannot be in the same area due to electromagnetic interference. It has changed the appearance design concept of the mobile point of sale (POS), and the antenna size can be 20%–100% of the POS display area. A contactless card read-write experiment for the proposed method has been carried out. Results showed the return loss is less than −30 dB, and the effective read-write distance of the antenna can reach about 5 cm. This design method provides a broader application prospect for mobile POS.
