Metrology for intraocular pressure measurements

Abstract: The World Health Organization reports glaucoma as the second leading cause of blindness and the leading cause of irreversible blindness. Intraocular hypertension is the most relevant and only treatable risk factor for the disease. Non-invasive intraocular-pressure (IOP) measurements, carried out using eye tonometers, are used to screen for the intraocular hypertension.
