In the conditions of dynamic growth of interest in theoretical and practical issues of economic security, systematization and development of the methodological apparatus for ensuring the economic security of an enterprise, according to the authors, is one of their priority tasks in this field of scientific research. The functioning of economic entities and maintaining their competitiveness is closely related to the implementation of economic security mechanisms, which in General can be described as a system of means, methods and tools for influencing economic security entities on the processes of objects in order to regulate them. By summarizing the experience of scientific research in the field of economic security mechanisms, it is established that most research in this area is limited to organizational measures (creating an economic security service, providing the necessary functionality to the organization's managers, etc.) or to consideration of financial components of economic security (risk assessment, analysis of bankruptcy, conducting a comprehensive analysis of the financial and economic activities of the enterprise, etc.). However, according to the authors, this approach does not take into account the features of all the components of the economic security system and leads to a system imbalance, i.e. inevitably there are deterioration of the state of any parameter or element of the system. Supporting the emerging trend towards a systematic approach, it is proposed to use mechanisms in the activities of economic entities that affect all the elements of the system of ensuring economic security, which has a positive effect on the activities of the economic entity, allowing for balanced and sustainable development. The results of the work can be used as a basis for further research in the field of developing mechanisms for ensuring economic security of economic entities, as well as used in practice within the framework of enterprises.

In this work the highly controversial problem of economic security is investigated as one of the essential factors determining the attractiveness of investment objects in a new aspect. At the same time, the issues of the relationship between investment attractiveness and economic security of enterprises, identification of determinants characterizing various barriers and restrictions, challenges and threats that negatively affect the situation with ensuring economic security and, as a consequence, the investment attractiveness of enterprises are considered, which finds its expression in the level of investment risks inappropriate to the interests of investors. Particular attention is paid to the methodological issues of identifying the determinants of economic security as substances of factors characterizing the investment attractiveness of enterprises, as well as evaluating these factors in the form of an unsystematic component of investment risks. The method developed in this study has a practical orientation and allows solving a two-pronged task: diagnosing the attractiveness of the invested object and evaluating investment risks, which is necessary for making a management decision on investing, and, most importantly, in the reverse order, based on the results obtained, developing and implementing specific measures both at the level of the enterprise itself, and at the sectoral, regional and country levels, eliminating all kinds of barriers, restrictions, challenges and threats, affecting the attractiveness of companies for investors. The subject of the research is the enterprise economic security management system (EESMS). The aim of the work is the formation of a methodology for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of EESMS. As a result of the study, the tasks of evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of EESMS are substantiated and the essence of ESMS is revealed. We systematized the problems of EESMS assessment, substantiated the feasibility of developing a methodology for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of EESMS based on the Balanced Scorecard concept. We also proposed a methodology for assessing EESMS based on the assessment of an integrated performance indicator and an EESMS performance indicator. In the article, EESMS is considered as a set of interconnected elements, which carries out planning, organization, coordination, motivation, analysis and control of activities to ensure the economic security of this enterprise. The end result of the EESMS functioning is to ensure the security of the economic interests and economic potential of a given business entity from external and internal threats in the short and long term. The immediate results of the EESM are the results of processes aimed at achieving the target level of economic security of the enterprise. It is proposed to consider the effectiveness of EESMS as the degree of achievement of the target level of economic security of the enterprise and the level of implementation of plans for ensuring economic security. EESMS effectiveness assessment is carried out on the basis of comparing the system performance with the level of budget execution for EESMS functioning. The proposed methodology for evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of EESMS takes into account the final and immediate results, which allow identifying the needs for improving EESMS.
