“…Although the coupling of chromatographic separation with ICP-MS is now routine, procedures continue to be developed, optimised and validated. Examples included: an HPLC-ICP-MS method 136 for As speciation in soil extracts prepared by MAE in 0.5 M phosphoric acid; an HPLC-ICP-MS method 137 for As speciation in foods of plant origin that was applied to cereals, seaweed and vegetables; and an HPLC-ICP-MS method 138 for Sb speciation in soils, which was used to compare the impacts in southern Poland of a slag heap from a historical Pb/Zn mine, a modern WEEE plant and a motorway. Of particular interest to the wine enthusiasts amongst the ASU readership was an IC-ICP-MS method based on detection of the PO + ion that could detect 139 residues of phosphonic acid, a substance banned from use in organic viticulture in the EU since 2013.…”

“…It was observed that arsenic was a major fraction of particulate matter, with 78.7 to 78.9% in different matters studied. A study reported the use of HPLC-ICP-MS technology for the determination of arsenic in contaminated soil [72]. The study reported different limits of quantification for different arsenic species.…”

“…Cuando el límite máximo permisible (LMP) es ≥ 0,1 ppm, el criterio de aceptación para el LOD es ≤ 1/10 LMP y para el LOQ, ≤ 1/5 LMP (Duffau et al, 2010). Cabe mencionar que el LMP considerado fue 20 mg•kg -1 , establecido por la FAO (El Himri et al, 2022).…”
