“…Particularly in the diagnosis of lymph node metastases, FNAC represents an invaluable diagnostic technique, usually avoiding the need for a more invasive open biopsy. 17‐19 Even though nodal metastases are rare in soft‐tissue sarcomas, our results show a significantly higher correlation between cytology and both tumor dignity and histology in metastatic locations. The same holds true in terms of cytology‐histology correlation in recurrent tumors.…”

“…However, if UPS is located in the retroperitoneum, complete compartmental resection will produce significantly better results ( 34 , 35 ). Due to the low risk of lymphatic metastasis, routine lymph node dissection is not recommended during surgery ( 36 ). In this case, the tumor protruded into the intestinal lumen without invading the intestinal wall, and the intraoperative frozen section results showed a negative resection margin.…”

“…These tumours have a different morphology depending on the differentiation of tumour and thus help of immunohistochemical (IHC) markers such as CD 10, cyclin D1 along with oestrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) may be required to confirm this tumour at metastatic sites. Among the common sarcomas that metastasise to nodes (rhabdomyosarcoma, angiosarcoma, synovial sarcoma, leiomyosarcoma and, rarely, Ewing's sarcoma) ESS is probably the rarest . Although pelvic nodal metastasis does occur in ESS during disease evolution, distant nodal metastasis is unusual.…”
