Metaphors in Pantun for Wedding Ceremony in Malay Langkat Tradition

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the types of metaphor, and explain the use of metaphor types in pantun for wedding ceremony in Malay Langkat Tradition. The metaphor types of this study divided into six types, like: active metaphor, inactive metaphor, asymmetric metaphor, subjective metaphor, dead metaphor, and mimatic metaphor.
