“…Furstenberg et al (1934) claim that they constantly succeeded in reproducing the symptoms in 14 patients suffering from Meniere's disease by administering intravenously sodium bicarbonate. Perlman et al (1953), Golding-Wood (i960), Clayton et al (1962) report on the contrary negative results in this respect. The results of Golding-Wood seem the most important because they concern 27 subjects treated in the same way as Furstenberg and others did.…”
