The Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) stands out as one of the safest long-term contraceptives, boasting a remarkable user effectiveness rate of 99.4%. Despite this, recent data from the 2021 Indonesian health profile in South Kalimantan Province reveals suboptimal coverage of IUD usage. Specifically, the coverage stands at 1.95% with 12,011 users in the region, 1.02% (477 users) in Kotabaru District, and 1.79% (82 users) in the Serongga Health Center. These figures fall short of the targeted coverage of 12.9%. This study aims to identify factors influencing IUD usage among women of childbearing age. Employing an analytical observational method with a Case-Control design, the research was conducted within the Serongga Health Center's jurisdiction. The investigation sought to establish correlations between education, knowledge, occupation, age, parity, and husband support with the utilization of IUDs among women of childbearing age. Utilizing a cluster proportional random sampling technique, the study comprised a sample population of 110 individuals. Statistical analysis involved the application of the Chi-Square test and Logistic Regression test for multivariate analysis. The findings of the study indicate that education (p=0.554), knowledge (p=0.308), age (p=0.566), and parity (p=0.835) demonstrate no significant association with IUD usage among women of childbearing age. Conversely, occupational factors (p=0.022, Exp (B)=2.667) and husband support (p=0.035, Exp (B)=2.813) exhibit a notable association. Notably, occupation emerges as the dominant factor influencing IUD usage.

COVID-19 merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh coronavirus jenis baru yang ditemukan pada tahun 2019 yang selanjutnya disebut SARS-Cov 2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2). Data COVID-19 di kota Baubau pada tanggal 25 Desember 2020 sebanyak 754 kasus, 665 pasien sembuh, dan 18 pasien meninggal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan perilaku pengunjung wisata Kelapa Gading dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan dalam pencegahan COVID-19. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey kuantitatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Cross-sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pengunjung wisata Kelapa Gading yang berjumlah 375 responden dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Accidental Sampling. Pengumpulan data dengan melalui kuisioner. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap pengunjung dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan, p=1,000 (p<0,05), p=0,762 (p<0,05). terdapat hubungan tindakan pengunjung dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan, p=0,000 (p<0,05). Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah tidak terdapat hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap pengunjung dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan, namun terdapat hubungan tindakan pengunjung dengan penerapan protokol kesehatan.

The 2017 IDHS shows that modern family planning tools/methods tend to decrease while traditional family planning methods increase. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with using conventional contraceptives in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data from the 2017 IDHS. The sample size is 11,542 women of childbearing age 15-49 years. The dependent variable in this study was the use of traditional contraceptives. In contrast, the independent variables consisted of age, education level, mother's occupation, economic status, area of residence, number of children, desire to have children, the decision to use contraception, knowledge of family planning tools/methods, knowledge of fertile periods, visits by field officers, sources of information from the mass media, and ownership of health insurance. The analysis results show that women of childbearing age who are <20 years old or >35 years old, have a higher education level, and live in urban areas tend to use traditional contraceptive methods. Furthermore, women of childbearing age with good knowledge about family planning methods and their fertile period also tend to use traditional contraceptive methods. In addition, the husband's decision to use contraception and not to accept visits by field workers also influences women of childbearing age to use traditional contraceptive methods. The sources of information from the mass media and the use of conventional contraceptives were not different. BKKBN, through Family Planning Field Officers (PLKB), needs to socialize the family planning program so that it can motivate people to switch to modern contraceptive methods, especially long-term contraceptive methods.
