“…For example, sequences assigned to the class Acetothermiia closely match with DNA sequences previously found in hydrothermal sediments (GenBank: FM868292). Members of this class were previously detected in anaerobic digesters, hot springs, and other deep biosphere studies ( Takami et al, 2012 ; Jungbluth et al, 2017 ; Zaitseva et al, 2017 ; Hao et al, 2018 ; Korzhenkov et al, 2018 ). Sequences assigned to the genus BRH-c8a from the family Desulfallas-Sporotomaculum match closely with sequences retrieved from deep groundwater (LC179584) and group with the genus Desulfotomaculum that can be found in deep subsurface environments ( Sousa et al, 2018 ; Watanabe et al, 2018 ).…”

“…Metagenomic bins with completeness more than 50% are shown in table 1. YAMB binnnig results are comparable to the results of binning using CONCOCT on the same data in terms of completeness and contamination of metagenomics bins (from 77.21 to 98.78% and from 0.92 to 3.39% respectively for five most complete bins) (Korzhenkov A. et al, 2018). Provisional taxonomical attribution was performed using NCBI BLAST (Johnson, M. et al, 2008) in blastx mode.…”

“…Subterranean thermal waters of Biragzang possessed substantial number (5.3% in 0.22 µm filter samples) of Firmicutes, belonging to uncultured class D8A-2, which is shown to be enriched in consortium performing methanogenic degradation of volatile fatty acids [ 43 ]. Blast search of Biragzang D8A-2-related ASVs revealed that the most closely related microorganisms were detected in microbial communities of hydrotherms, located at East Tuva Plateau, Russia [ 44 ]. Other major fractions of Firmicutes in Biragzang belonged to Thiobacterales and Ammonifexales orders ( Supplementary Figure S4 ).…”
