Abstract:Em 2013, o governo brasileiro lançou o Programa Mais Médicos para o Brasil (PMM) com o objetivo de suprir a falta de médicos/as para atendimento no Sistema Único de Saúde. Cerca de 12.000 cubanos/as chegaram ao país para ocupar posições em localidades não atendidas por brasileiros/as.
