Abstract: The median age at first marriage in the United States has increased steadily since the mid-20th century. In the mid1950s, the median age was at a record low of just over 20 for women and 22 for men, but by 2018, the median age was almost 28 for women and nearing 30 for men (see Figure 1). “…Binary logistic regression results show that compared with male IPH perpetrators, female perpetrators are more likely to be younger and have older victims. An explanation behind this may lie in patterns of how people marry and date, with reports indicating the median age of men and women's first marriage being 28.7 and 26.7 years old, respectively (Payne, 2012). Racially, it appears that female-perpetrated IPH is far more likely than male-perpetrated IPH to occur in intraracial compared with interracial relationships.…”

“…One’s self-assessment of their risk of divorce may play a role in behavior and outcomes of intimate relationships even earlier. Considering the current delay of marriage by many young adults (Payne, 2015) and the potential implications of marriage timing for relationship success and individual well-being (Glenn, Uecker, & Love, 2010; McLanahan & Jacobsen, 2015), understanding the development of these expectations may help social scientists better understand relationship formation in emerging adulthood and implications for further development. Nonetheless, studies of explicit expectations of divorce have been limited.…”

“…As highlighted above, the MTT test strip provides convenient and rapid qualitative TMSC values based on a measurement of mitochondrial activity. Because the age at which people are getting married has been increasing in many countries, 46,47 early detection of possible infertility factors is an important issue for early fertility management and better pregnancy outcomes. Early evaluation of semen quality by current WHO manual or CASA methods is labor‐intensive, expensive, and time‐consuming.…”
