“…The wet chemical method in water or EG at a low temperature (<150 °C) is a popular approach to the synthesis of Au nanosheets using hydrogen tetrachloroaurate trihydrate (HAuCl 4 ·3H 2 O) as the Au precursor and l -arginine as the capping agent. Moon et al synthesized Au nanosheets by dissolving HAuCl 4 ·3H 2 O and l -arginine in water and heating the mixture at 95 °C for 2 h. The obtained nanosheets showed lateral dimensions ranging from 20 to 50 μm and a thickness of 20 nm (Figure a) . Besides l -arginine, PVP, ,, CTAB, dodecyl glyceryl itaconate, other polymers, and proteins could also be used as capping agents to synthesize Au nanosheets.…”
