RESUMOOBJETIVO: Validar a versão saúde bucal do Instrumento de Diagnóstico do Estágio de Desenvolvimento da Rede de Atenção à Saúde. MATERIAIS E MÉTODOS: A amostra foi composta pelos coordenadores de saúde bucal de 154 municípios do estado de Minas Gerais, Brasil, escolhidos por conveniência. A versão saúde bucal do Instrumento passou previamente pela etapa de adaptação e, em seguida, foram conduzidas as fases de teste de campo e o estudo das propriedades psicométricas do Instrumento (confiabilidade e validade). Os questionários foram enviados aos coordenadores por e-mail. RESULTADOS: A consistência interna mostrou índices adequados para o escore total (coeficiente alfa de Cronbach = 0,97) e domínios (coeficiente alfa de Cronbach = 0,77-0,94). O teste-reteste teve boa estabilidade, conforme a análise do escore total (coeficiente de correlação intraclasse -CCI = 0,88) e domínios (CCI = 0,83-0,91). A mensuração das concordâncias dos itens demonstrou validade de constructo, variando de regular à quase perfeita (r s entre 0,25 e 0,81). Para a validade discriminante, o escore total e os domínios "População", "Sistemas logísticos" e "Sistema de governança da rede" distinguiram os grupos conforme o tempo de formado (p ≤ 0,05). CONCLUSÃO: A versão saúde bucal do Instrumento mostrou propriedades psicométricas adequadas quanto à confiabilidade e à validade do constructo e discriminante. The sample was comprised of the oral health coordinators from 154 municipalities in Minas Gerais State, Brazil, chosen for convenience. The oral health version of the Instrument was previously submitted to the adaptation stage, and then the field test phases and the study of the psychometric properties of the Instrument (reliability and validity) were conducted. Questionnaires were sent to the coordinators by email. RESULTS: Internal consistency for the total score (Cronbach's alpha coefficient = 0.97) and domains (Cronbach's alpha coefficient = 0.77-0.94) was demonstrated. Test-retest reported good stability based on the analysis of the total score (intraclass correlation coefficient -ICC = 0.88) and domains (ICC = 0.83-0.91). Percentage agreement of the items showed construct validation, varying from regular to almost perfect (r s between 0.25 and 0.81). For discriminant validity, total score and three domains, Population, Logistical systems and Network Governance System distinguished the groups according to the time of formation (p ≤ 0.05). CONCLUSION: The oral health version of the Instrument showed adequate psychometric properties regarding the reliability and validity of the construct and discriminant.

This paper is a case report describing the speech-language and quality of life outcomes presented by a teenager with a central nervous system germ cell tumor affected by extrapontine myelinolysis. The extrapontine myelinolysis is an acute demyelinating disease that can be caused by abrupt changes in serum osmolality, as in the rapid correction of hyponatremia. Data were obtained from clinical assessment protocols, pediatric inventory about quality of life and medical records information. The patient presented mutism, dysphagia and dysarthria caused by extrapontine myelinolysis, with significant impacts on their verbal communication, feeding and quality of life. The scores of quality of life after extrapontine myelinolysis decreased compared to the time before the disease. She received speech-language therapy during hospital admission and in the outpatient clinic. We observed changes in patterns of speech, swallowing and mobility of orofacial structures; with partially reverse of neurological deficits. The speech therapists, as part of a multidisciplinary team of health care, are of great importance in the functional rehabilitation of patients affected by this disease. Keywords: Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences; Speech; Swallowing; Quality of Life; Myelinolysis, Central Pontine; Rehabilitation RESUMO O presente trabalho é um relato de caso que descreve os achados fonoaudiológicos e de qualidade de vida apresentados por uma adolescente com um tumor do sistema nervoso central acometida pela mielinólise extrapontina. A mielinólise extrapontina é uma doença desmielinizante aguda que pode ser causada por variações abruptas na osmolaridade sérica, como o que ocorre na rápida correção da hiponatremia. Os dados foram obtidos a partir da avaliação clínica fonoaudiológica, de questionários pediátricos sobre a qualidade de vida e dados contidos no prontuário médico. A paciente apresentou mutismo, disartria e disfagia decorrentes da mielinólise extrapontina, com impactos significativos na sua comunicação verbal, alimentação e qualidade de vida. Os escores de qualidade de vida após a mielinólise extrapontina apresentaram piora quando comparados aos do período anterior à doença. Recebeu atendimento fonoaudiológico hospitalar e ambulatorial. Foram observadas evoluções nos padrões de fala, deglutição e mobilidade das estruturas orofaciais, com reversão parcial dos déficits neurológicos. A atuação fonoaudiológica, como parte de uma equipe multiprofissional de saúde, é de grande importância na reabilitação funcional dos pacientes acometidos por esta doença.

To assess the quality of life of children and adolescents with cancer of studies that applied the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory 3.0 Cancer Module. Methodology. The study was carried out on the basis of data Scopus Web of Science, BIREME, EBSCO host and Psychoinfo of articles in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and published from 1998 to 2013 that used the Pediatric Quality of life Inventory 3.0 Cancer Module. Results. 21 articles were selected, of which 47.6% were carried out in America, and 61.9% of editions comprehended from 2011 to 2013. The scores variation by dimensions and in general was probably related for the selection of comparison groups, as the diversity of inclusion criteria and variants may be observed for the analysis in each study. The existence of a standard dimension could not be verified either for children´s /adolescents reports or for parents. Conclusion. It is concluded that the scores averages by dimensions in general have not achieved values below 30 and the largest scores by dimension are above 80. It is suggested that the treatment anxiety dimension in children´s and adolescents´s reports may have obtained the largest scores within each study, that is lesser than the difficulty of the children and adolescents in face of the treatment and cancer.
