Mc-28 Flow Induced Vibration of Shrouded Corotating Disk Systems in Subcritical Speed Range

Abstract

Present study focuses on an interaction of fiow instability and elastic vibration ofa multiple disk system rotating with sub-critical speed, The simultaneous measurements of the flow velocity between disks and the transverse displacement of the disk reveal that the fluid-solid interactions are net negligible even in low speed range fbur below the flutter or critical speed.
