Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in Indonesia

Abstract: This study aims to provide knowledge and references to researchers as a basis that will be used in further research. The method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which identifies, classifies, and categorizes certain topics related to research on students' mathematical problem solving abilities in Indonesia. The data used are 33 articles that have SINTA 1 and SINTA 2 accredited criteria, such as in the journals AKSIOMA and KREANO, which were taken within the last 3 years, namely 2019 to 2021.

“…There are several indicators for measuring the level of math anxiety. Indicators of math anxiety in this study were formulated by Suharyadi (Satriyani, 2016) and will use as a reference for measuring instruments of mathematical anxiety, as follows: because they tend to be afraid of math lessons and their teachers.…”

“…One of them is in the process of improving problem-solving abilities. Problem-solving ability is an indicator of success in learning mathematics (Septian et al, 2022). Problem-solving is a crucial cognitive ability and must be owned by every student (Fauziah et al, 2021).…”

“…Namely, students must have competencies such as a critical attitude, logical, analytical, responsible, creative, responsive, careful, thorough, and not easily give up on solving problems (Afdareza et al, 2020;Widodo et al, 2018). Thus the important thing that must be taught to students through mathematics is the ability to decide on problem-solving strategies (Septian et al, 2022;Verawati et al, 2022;Wijayanti et al, 2022).…”
