Mariano Baquero Goyanes y el cuento decimonónico español: teoría y crítica literaria en torno al relato breve

Abstract

This article deals with the study of the two essential monographs by Baquero Goyanes on the nineteenth-century Spanish short story. Significantly located at the beginning and end of his research career, both are revealing testimonies of the mastery achieved by the author in the field of short stories, both from a historical perspective and from a theoretical and critical one. El presente artículo aborda el estudio de las dos monografías esenciales de Baquero Goyanes sobre el cuento español decimonónico. Significativamente situadas en el inicio y final de su trayectoria investigadora, ambas resultan reveladores testimonios del magisterio alcanzado por el autor en el ámbito del cuento, tanto desde la perspectiva histórica como desde la teórica y crítica.
