CONTINENTAL SURFACE TEMPERATURE (TSC) ASSESSMENT AND THE USE OF LAND IN THE BASIN OF THE HYDROELECTRIC PLANT OF BARRA DOS COQUEIROS (GO) BY MEANS OF REMOTE SENSING.The aim of this study was to analyze the Land Surface Temperature (LST) in the different ground coverage at Barra dos Coqueiros Hydroelectric plant. The land use and the estimated LST were identified based on Landsat 5 image, in representative dates of rainy and dry seasons. The LST was calculated using Lucena's methodology (2012), in which the data temperature and relative humidity were used for obtaining the LST. For the dry period, we identified 6 uses (pastures, forests, agriculture, water, savana and urban area), and the same thing for the rainy season, however, with a difference in the areas of pastures -which decreased -and savana and forest that had an increase. The LST in the rainy season showed two ranges between 10.0ºC and 45.0ºC, where the mild LST were identified in the lake areas and the high ones predominated in the urban area. The LST in the dry period presented range between 10.0°C and 50.0°C, with mild temperature in the reservoir area and high temperature in exposed soil. It was found that the LST presented spatial behavior according to the different land uses and temporal behavior in the dry and rainy season, due to the condition of the vegetation.
