“…Combatiam o culto do "falso" antigo, o arcaísmo superficial e elementar nas pinturas, e o nu na pintura, tão opressor quanto o adultério o era na literatura. Outros manifestos futuristas foram lançados, entre os quais o denominado "Contra Veneza Passadista", de 27 de abril de 1910 (MARINETTI; BOCCIONI; CARRÀ; RUSSOLO, 1910), pelo qual queriam fazer tábula rasa do passado da cidade cheia de canais sujos e edifícios velhos, explorados por pessoas que viviam disso, e transformá-la em uma cidade moderna poderosa, com luz elétrica e pontes metálicas, novos prédios e indústrias. Também se fez o Manifesto Técnico da Literatura Futurista, escrito por Filippo Marinetti (1912), por meio do qual defendia, entre outras coisas, a destruição da sintaxe, o fim dos adjetivos e advérbios, o uso dos verbos apenas no infinitivo, bem como o Manifesto da Música Futurista (PRATELLA, 1980), e o da arte dos ruídos (RUSSOLO, 1916) , 1913).…”
