Show more

“…Second, research into combining PRNG vulnerabilities with other attacks, such as Boneh et al [7], could be very valuable for demonstrating the exploitability of more subtle PRNG issues such as those reported by Michaelis et al [19]. We anticipate that the evolution from the current state of cryptography in markets such as Chinese mobile browsers to current best practices will be a gradual evolution, and attacks that exploit conversion issues such as DecryptoCat [23] or what we showed in Section 3.1 will be very valuable during this transition in order to keep "raising the bar. “…The screening effects of the electrons in the filled Kshell, L-subshells and M-subshells are represented by an effective nuclear charge of the form Z eff = Z −s i , a procedure that should be reasonable for small principal quantum number n and small n − l [15]. These screening constants s i are taken from the fits [16] of Dirac single electron eigenfunctions to empirical binding energies. For neon, they are 2.016 (K-shell), 6.254 (L I -subshell), and 7.482 (L II -and L III -subshells).…”

“…In daily usage neither the dictionary definition nor the logical principles could strictly be applied to the connotation of the term as the meaning depends on how people use the language. Thomas (2018). takes the British philosopher J. L. Austin's famous sentence, "France is hexagonal" used by him to prove the difference between untrue and false to elaborate on his argument.…”
