“…8 Isolated cases of MG have been reported with use of miotics 9 and after laser iridotomy, 10 laser capsulotomy, 11 and laser cyclophotocoagulation. 12 Malignant glaucoma also has been described after needling of a trabeculectomy bleb, 13 after endophthalmitis caused by fungal keratomycosis 14 and Nocardia asteroides, 15 after retinal detachment surgery, 16 rarely in children with retinopathy of prematurity, 17 and with corneal hydrops in patients with keratoconus. 18 A spontaneous variety also has been described without any apparent cause.…”

“…Diversos artigos têm demonstrado a ocorrência de glaucoma maligno após realização de cirurgia de catarata com implante de LIO (5)(6)(7) , iridectomia com Nd-Yag laser (8)(9)(10)(11) , uso de mióticos (12) , ciclofotocoagulação com Nd-Yag laser (13) , esclerostomia a laser (14) e após trabeculectomia (15) , porém não há relatos prévios de pacientes que tenham desenvolvido crise de glaucoma maligno durante realização de curva tensional diá-ria (CTD).
