Abstract

Après avoir proposé l’ ehpad en temps de Covid et de confinement comme une institution totale (I. Goffman) au carré, les auteurs s’attachent à repérer comment Covid et confinement ont révélé, amplifié, certains des enjeux fantastiques ordinairement contenus dans le cadre institutionnel et le métacadre social, en particulier quant à la mort, mort dont l’angoisse est bien souvent traitée en l’assignant à la vieillesse tant du côté des professionnels que des familles. La dernière partie insiste plus particulièrement sur la mise à mal des liens du fait des confinements, montrant que la vie n’est alors pensée que sous l’angle biologique, au déni des dimensions psychiques d’étayage et d’investissements mutuels.
