“…1 Nd 6 Fe 13 Au was first reported 2 to be ferromagnetic below 340 K and later 3 to be antiferromagnetic below 413 K. Nd 6 Fe 13 Si was first 1 reported to be antiferromagnetic below 725 K and later 4 to be ferrimagnetic with a Curie temperature of 441 K, a compensation point of 357 K, and to have iron magnetic moments parallel to the tetragonal c axis at room temperature. Nd 6 Fe 13 Ag shows 2 ferromagnetic behavior below 340 K. Nd 6 Fe 13 Cu has 5 a complex noncolinear magnetic structure with a Curie temperature of 463 K. This range of controversial magnetic behaviors has prompted us to extend our earlier 3 Mössbauer spectral study of Nd 6 Fe 13 Au.…”
