“…Quxiang Formation has eight sampling sites, sampling sites numbered MA1-MA8 and 120 specimens; Jiangdong Formation has a sampling sites (MA9) and 12 specimens; Rouqiecun group has two sampling sites, number of MA10, MA11 and 41 specimens; the main detachment faces of South Tibetan detachment system has two sampling sites, numbered MZ1, MZ2 and 102 specimens; A total of thirteen points and 241 samples were collected specimens. In the laboratory, the orientation of the core sample was cut into high 22 …”

“…The use of magnetic fabric of rock deformation and tectonic deformation process is a new method of structural geology. Many scholars of international have studied and accumulated a certain amount of information in this area [22][23][24][25][26].…”

“…Studies have addressed the tectonic fabric [Guardia and Ivaldi, 1985], the geometric characteristics of the strain ellipsoid [Graham, 1978 ;Siddans et al, 1984] and cleavage related magnetic anisotropy [Bogdanoff and Schott, 1977 ;Kligfield et al, 1981 ;Siddans et al, 1984]. Only one previous study carried out by Aicard et al [1968] demonstrated syn-depositional normal faulting and its subsequent control on Alpine deformation in the upper Roya district : it is surprisingly one of the less referred-to works.…”

“…The strike of the cleavage changes from N130 o in the Barrot Massif to the west, to N090 o in the Roya Valley to the east, and the dip angle varies greatly from 30 o E to almost vertical. A progressive strain path has been proposed based on the analyses of reduction spots, assumed to be compaction-derived and flattened (oblate) parallel to bedding prior to Alpine deformation [Graham, 1978 ;Siddans et al, 1984], as well as from studies of anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility [Henry, 1973 ;Kligfield et al, 1981]. Despite shear surfaces parallel to cleavage observed by Graham [1978, p 220], the progressive deformation proposed by these authors is based on an irrotational model of finite strain and assumes the shortening axis always developed normal to cleavage [Graham, 1978 ;Kligfield et al, 1981 ;Siddans et al, 1984].…”

“…The analysis of the AMS data was performed using the Anisoft 4.2 software. Many authors have reported that magnetic fabric provides a reliable strain indicator (Ferré et al, 2004;Graham, 1966;Henry, 1973;Hrouda, 1979Hrouda, , 2002Hrouda and Janak, 1976;Hrouda et al, 1978;Kligfield et al, 1982). The AMS of volcanic rocks was investigated in the East Carpatians (Panaiotu et al, 2011).…”
