By 1. V. G o~o s o v s~~~ and V. P. PLAKHTY B neutron diffraction study has been made of powdered NdS samples a t 4.2, 27, arid 293 "K. A noncollinoar magnetic structure with two propagation vectors has been revealed. All spins lying in a { 110) plane are collinear and arranged antiferromagnetically. From plane to plane the spin direction rotates by a right angle. The possible and really observed spin configurations are discussed within the, framework of the molecular field method.
