Magnetic Modified Natural Polymers for Biotechnological Application

Abstract: Magnetic microparticles were formulated by encapsulating magnetite nanoparticles with cellulose acrylamidemetyl propionate acetate (CAPA) chemically modified with acrylamide (AM) in order to immobilize, through covalent bonds, enzymes. The microparticles were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy and thermogravimetry.
