Abstract:Magnetic hysteresis losses in V2Zr and V2Hf Laves phase compounds are investigated. The influence of the geometrical shape, first penetration field and that of the flux creep phenomenon is considered. The hysteresis at static magnetization is calculated for a set of values of the parameter γ describing magnetic induction profile and compared with observed data. The best fit value depends on the ordering state of the sample.
“…With superconducting properties at low temperature, V 2 Zr has been widely studied [20][21][22][23] on its structure and physical properties. Concerning thermodynamic properties of V 2 Zr, differential calorimetric measurements were performed by Naskidashvili et al [22] in the region of 80-300 K which is beyond the range of this study and the authors of [22] themselves pointed out that their results did not permit to obtain precise absolute values of heat capacity.…”

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
