“…Janus IO@PDA NPs were prepared through partial coating of PDA caps on Fe 3 O 4 NPs, which were prepared via a solvothermal method. Briefly, FeCl 3 ·6H 2 O (2.28 g), sodium acetate (4.8 g) and sodium citrate (1.3 g) were dissolved in 100 mL of ethylene glycol, followed by heating in an autoclave at 200 °C for 10 h. Fe 3 O 4 NPs (40 mg) were then mixed with 40 mL of ethanol (80%), 0.75 mL of ammonia (25%) and 75 μL of TEOS for 12 h. 23 After magnetic separation and washing with water, the IO@SiO 2 NPs (10 mg) were dispersed in 40 mL of ethanol (95%) and APTES was added (0.07 mL, 0.3 mmol). After 12 h of reaction time, the aminated Fe 3 O 4 (IO-NH 2 ) NPs were collected by magnetic separation and vacuum dried.…”
