“…for Co 2 FeAl, the experimental value is 5.1 B /f.u. [16,17,22]. Moreover, the T C values reported by different authors in this series of compounds show large variations [10,12].…”

“…From these samples, one piece was cut and annealed under conditions of high vacuum (∼10 −5 mbar) at 1200 K for 72 h. Following this, the sample was cooled back to room temperature in about 6 h. The samples synthesized in this form will be named annealed samples. We notice that several different annealing processes have been reported in literature [1,12,[14][15][16][17][18][19][20]26] but no consensus has indeed been reached about the benefits and burdens of the different types of procedures followed. In our case we also carried out for the x = 0 and x = 1 samples another type of annealing process at 900 K for 72 h under conditions of high vacuum (∼10 −5 mbar) and we quenched the samples into water kept at room temperature.…”

“…Al Kanani et al found Tc above 1000 K for bulk CFA alloy and the saturation magnetization of 5.1 µB/f.u. [27]. A. Kumar also chemically prepared CFA nanoparticles in size range of 10-50 nm and reported that nanoparticles were having disordered mixed phases of B2 and A2 types [28].…”

“…The partial substitution of a 3d transition metal for Al in the equiatomic compound results in the onset of ferromagnetism beyond a critical concentration (see e.g. [2] and the references therein). The ferromagnetic state is assigned to a change in the average electron density, and not to a change in the crystallographic order [2].…”
