“…As previously described by our group, these data presented here could exhibit an important matter on the management of the cardiovascular disorders also, since it was previously showed, by authors such Rosique-Esteban [27], Efstratiadis [28] and Dinicolantonio [29] that Magnesium will descrease the risk for ischemic heart disease and coronary heart disease, diminishing also other factors such diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome [27][28][29].…”

“…Previous evidence suggested that the enhancement of antioxidant status and alleviating of inflammatory markers potentially improve endothelial function and blood pressure . The ability of magnesium to diminish oxidative stress and inflammation is due to the activation of antioxidant enzymes, the enhancement of endothelial nitric oxide bioavailability and inhibiting the activity of oxidant enzymes such as myeloproxidase and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase . Vitamin E plays an important role in the scavenging free radicals and by which functions as direct antioxidative agent and protects lipid from peroxidation.…”

“…In this way, it was previously showed for example in a complex systematic review from 2018 by Nuria et al [33] group that magnesium supplementation is generally associated with a decreased risk of another related major cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome and even stroke, while on the other side very high levels of circulating magnesium can be generally associated with a decreased risk of ischemic heart disease and coronary heart disease. Moreover similar individual studies from 2006 [34] or more recent ones [35] suggested a positive effect in general for the magnesium supplementation vs. cardiovascular effects context.…”
