LSB based non blind predictive edge adaptive image steganography

Abstract: Image steganography is the art of hiding secret message in grayscale or color images. Easy detection of secret message for any state-of-art image steganography can break the stego system. To prevent the breakdown of the stego system data is embedded in the selected area of an image which reduces the probability of detection. Most of the existing adaptive image steganography techniques achieve low embedding capacity. In this paper a high capacity Predictive Edge Adaptive image steganography technique is propose… Show more

“…Chakraborty, et. al., proposed hiding a secret data in the carrier photo by using modified median edge detection to select the area of carrier picture, the confidential data is then inclusion in the edge area of the cover picture [3]. Ahmed T, Thahab proposed Burrows Wheeler Transform used to divide the cover image into non-nested blocks before embedding and the confidential information is inclusion in each block according to their sequence in the output of the Burrows Wheeler Transform.…”

“…Chakraborty, et. al., [16] devised edge predictor named Modified Median Edge Detector (MMED) along with the adaptive strategy for selecting edge portion of a cover image. The binary payload is then embedded in the edge area of the cover image.…”

“…If we hide in smooth regions distortion will be more. Based on the level of complexity of the edge regions, adaptive embedding can be applied [16]. In this way capacity can be increased and chance of detection can be decreased.…”
