“…The used catalyst (30 mg) just after drying at 100 • C for 2 h in an oven was heated from 50 to 900 • C at a rate of 10 • C/min under an air flow of 30 ml/min. [30]. These characteristic diffraction peaks of Co 3 O 4 can also include the crystal phases of CoAl 2 O 4 , which has almost identical diffraction peaks as Co 3 O 4 structures [31,32] but minimal formation at our pretreatment condition.…”

“…[11][12][13] Several studies have found that active oxygen sites (oxygen vacancies) can interact with active metals to improve the performances of the catalysts. 14,15 Thus, CeO 2 -ZrO 2 solid solution can be used as support for CO 2 methanation catalysts. Ni-based catalysts supported on Ce x Zr 12x O 2 mixed oxides prepared by the sol-gel method have been previously investigated for CO 2 methanation.…”

“…XRD patterns of the fresh P/m-CoAl showed the characteristic spinel-type Co 3 O 4 crystalline phases appeared at 2θ = 19.0, 31.3, 36.9, 38.5, 44.8, 55.7, 59.4 and 65.2°as shown in Figure 1(B), which respectively correspond to the crystalline Co 3 O 4 planes of (111), (220), (311), (222), (400), (422), (511) and (440). [5,27] There were no characteristic peaks of phosphorousderived chemical species due to its smaller contents on the P/ m-CoAl. The calculated crystallite sizes of the Co 3 O 4 using the most intense peak at 2θ = 36.9°were found to be in the range of 11.7-12.5 nm with small variations, which can be originated from the grain size of the Co 3 O 4 À Al 2 O 3 frameworks.…”
