“…The increase in the Raman peak intensity with the flow of H 2 gas can be attributed to the improvement in crystal structure of MoS 2 thin films. This structural Figure 4b reveals the prominent photoluminescence (PL) peak corresponding to the energy gap around 1.75 eV is observed, which is in consistent with the reported values for few layers of MoS 2 [49][50][51][52][53]. This can be attributed to presence of tensile strain, which increases the interlayer distance and results in weak interlayer coupling in few layers of MoS 2 .…”

“…This can be attributed to presence of tensile strain, which increases the interlayer distance and results in weak interlayer coupling in few layers of MoS 2 . The increased interlayer distance in few layers of MoS 2 is assumed as stacking of few monolayers, which emits higher intensity PL peak as compared to monolayer at the same wavelength [54]. The monolayer like nature in a multilayer MoS 2 bubble structure has been observed by Luo et al [55].…”

“…[86] CVD is usually the coating/deposition technique for versatile materials, which combines the chemical reaction of evaporated precursors on substrates at high temperatures. [87,88] Ghosh et al deposited the MoS 2 thin film (Figure 2b) on Si/SiO 2 at temperatures of 700, 750, and 850 C. Both crucibles, containing the Mo and S sources, were placed inside and Ar gas was used as a carrier; then, sulfurization was conducted for 3 h under a vacuum of 200 mTorr to obtain a thin film of MoS 2 [89] Microwave is an environment-friendly chemical synthesis method for nanoparticles (electromagnetic wave ranges from 1 mm to 1 m), which reduces the activation energy of precursors and stimulates the synthesis process. Microwave energy is well organized in heating processes than conventional heating.…”
