Low-Frequency Data Embedding for DFT-Based Image Steganography

Abstract: As sharing digital media is getting more prominent, there has been a rise in the development of techniques for protecting digital media against misuse. However, the amount of such techniques has been less prominent for printed goods. The data hiding method presented in this paper is suited for the print domain. The method uses the Discrete Fourier Transform to embed data into images and Gray Component Replacement to maintain high image quality by masking embedding artifacts. This research examines whether the … Show more

“…In terms of digital image security, in order to solve the complexity of images, Wang et al (2020) proposed a two-stage image multi-feature fusion paradigm for multimedia data processing. Digital image watermarking technology is used to identify suspicious watermark signals (Li et al, 2019) and improve detection efficiency (Jelušić et al, 2022). Yu et al (2018) proposed a four-image encryption scheme based on quaternion Fresnel transform (QFST), computer-generated holograms, and two-dimensional logically adjusted sine mapping (LASM).…”

“…Remote sensing images usually have few bands and lack spectral information, so it is not ideal to simply use spectral features for classification. In addition, remote sensing images are rich in texture, geometry, and semantics, and they contain more detailed information (Jelušić et al, 2022;Jiang et al, 2022;Xu et al, 2020). The pixel-based method cannot use this rich high-resolution spatial information.…”

“…This technique is closely related to our study, where we explore human visual responses to potential threats. The ability to detect and interpret visual cues is crucial in both natural settings and technological applications such as DFT-based image steganography (Jelušić et al, 2022). This approach not only allows us to evaluate detection thresholds based on participants' behavior but also to study specific SSVEP response components in the EEG spectra as the structural visibility of the animal images incrementally improves.…”
