“…Most case series report an increased risk of mesh erosion when ASC was performed concurrent with total hysterectomy (TH) although RCTs are lacking. Culligan et al reported an increase in mesh erosion in women who underwent a concurrent TH compared to those who did not: 27 % versus 1.3 % ( p < 0.001) [ 32 ]. As part of the CARE trial, Cundiff et al reported similar trends in 26 % of women who had concurrent TAH.…”

“…In two retrospective studies evaluating more than 300 women, the incidence of mesh erosion was significantly higher after concomitant Hys + CSP than CSP alone [3,15] . Culligan et al [16] reported significantly different mesh erosion rates in 245 patients (overall 2.4%): 3 in 11 women (27.3%) who were treated by an abdominal CSP + Hys, compared with 3 (1.3%) in 234 women who underwent CSP alone. However, conflicting evidence was reported by Brizzolara and Pillai-Allenx [10] who reported no mesh erosion in 60 women undergoing CSP + concurrent Hys and only 1 mesh erosion in the control group of 64 women undergoing CSP alone.…”

“…У каждой пятой больной (19% случаев в 1-й группе и более 15% случаев -во 2-й группе) также выполнялась ампутация шейки мат-ки в связи с ее элонгацией. Главная задача состояла в со-хранении культи шейки матки и фиксации к ней сетчато-го протеза, что позволяло избегать кольпотомии как этапа тотальной гистерэктомии и снижать риск возникновения эрозии влагалища [7,8].…”
