As one of the university which applies Green Campus in Indonesia, Sebelas Maret University Surakarta keeps on developing the management of an eco friendly campus. In a bid to decrease the impact of environment polution, UNS is planning to add free bike as transportation for their students and academic staffs in campus. This research is aimed to find the probability of user demand of free bike. The data was collected by interviews with the variables are waiting time, travel time, and the bike comfortness. It is found that the best scenario for choosing bike as a media transportation (90,37%) is when waiting time of bus campus is long (more than 22 minutes), bus travel time is normal and cycling comfort is good. Waiting time, travel time, and cycling comfort condition are variables that have a big influence on probability of potential demand.

IntroductionThe new mission-oriented national R&D programs, aligned with a transformative paradigm to address societal challenges, face challenges in economic feasibility analysis due to the ongoing development of innovative solutions and the time required for marketization.MethodsIn this study, we employed a Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) to survey 300 Korean households, exploring their willingness to pay for R&D programs hypothetically funded by their taxes. We estimated the mean willingness to pay (WTP) and multiplied it by the total number of households in Korea to project the annual total benefit for each program.ResultsUsing metrics like the value-added ratio, marketization success rate, and R&D contribution rate, we assessed the economic value of program benefits. Our analysis indicates a total benefit of KRW 285 billion (KRW 242.5 billion net present value) for a total investment of KRW 990 billion (KRW 505.4 billion net present value), with a benefit-to-cost ratio of 2.08, arming significant economic feasibility.DiscussionGiven the importance of respecting researchers' autonomy, decision-makers may find the CVM a suitable method for validating evidence for new mission-oriented R&D programs across diverse fields.

The income from toll tariff is the main source of revenue to repayment of investment costs of toll road construction. The estimated value of toll tariffs can be usefull for regulators, investors and BUJT to consider decision KPBU, investment and company management. The aim of this study is to conduct a financial analysis of the toll rates for the Becakayu Toll Road. The research method used is the Quantitative Method, by calculating ATP, WTP, perceptions of applicable tariffs and analyzing the sensitivity of user movement to the toll road. The results of the analysis show that the ATP value is Rp 1,655.00 per km and the WTP value is Rp 1,515.00 per km. The results of the sensitivity analysis of price changes and their probability of moving to the toll road, for each increase in the toll fare (farthest distance) of Rp 3,000.00 has the potential to decrease 0.59% of toll road users. The perception of toll road users regarding the current toll tariff is Rp. 14,000.00 - for a distance of 8.4 km shows that: 51.33% of respondents consider it appropriate; 42.89% consider it expensive; 4.02% is very expensive; 1.61% consider it cheap; and 0.16% consider it very cheap
